Glaciation - Workshop...

Description

This coolest workshop in Scotland begins by using imagery and videos to introduce  pupils to glaciers and ice motion. The workshop then moves on to look at how glaciers shaped the surface of Scotland using aerial imagery from around the country and pupils will use our smartboard to seek out glacial landforms.

Older pupils participate in various activities, learning about ice cores and the science of climate investigation and handling specimens to discover some interesting facts about ice.  Younger pupils play a game where they discover facts about Ice Age mammals.
