When the Scottish Association of Landlords was seeking a venue for its annual one-day conference, Our Dynamic Earth proved to have everything organiser, Judith Dunn, was looking for. The Biosphere, with its capacity to stage a large conference, combined with the Stratosphere which could hold 300 people for a buffet lunch, as well as the Ozone and Salisbury Suite areas which accommodated a parallel event, were ideal. Judith said: “Few venues offer everything we need and Our Dynamic Earth pulled out all the stops on our behalf. The venue itself, with its iconic structure and dynamic surroundings, made this a memorable event. An added bonus was the availability of on-site parking which went down very well with our delegates, some of whom travelled from outwith Scotland to attend the conference.”
A large exhibition in the Stratosphere was another feature of the conference, which was one of the biggest that Our Dynamic Earth has hosted. Over 30 businesses and organisations of interest to landlords were represented, providing an invaluable facility for networking and informal exchange. The venue’s close proximity to the Scottish Parliament was also attractive to the organisers, whose programme included an evening reception at Holyrood.
Judith was impressed with the overall package that Our Dynamic Earth offered and said: “Not only were the facilities ideal, the price, location and the service made this an excellent choice of venue. We had great feedback from our delegates and the catering in particular was a big hit. As a membership organisation, it is important that we get things right for our delegates and the team at Our Dynamic Earth really went out of their way to help and make the event a success. Nothing was too much trouble for them and that goes a long way towards making event organisers’ lives easier. I would not hesitate to go back and, in fact, we are provisionally booked to return next year.”
