A unique Edinburgh wedding venue - 5 reasons to get married at Dynamic Earth

Did you know you can get married at Dynamic Earth? If you’re looking for a quirky and cool place to tie the knot, with a hint of heritage - then look no further. Our dedicated wedding co-ordinator and events team will help you plan your dream day. Here are five reasons to get hitched here:

1. Something old, something new

Dynamic Earth offers a great combination of modernity and tradition. The Biosphere, situated downstairs from the Stratosphere, features an original stone-walled turret, high arched ceilings and imposing windows, perfect for your wedding ceremony, breakfast and evening reception. There’s space for up to 140 guests. We’re right at the heart of old Edinburgh, yet our building is relatively new - we like to think we’re the right blend of romance and style! Have a look at our wedding brochure to see for yourself.

2. Flexible and quirky options for your ceremony and receptions

We might be biased, but we think our drinks reception options really have the wow factor! While you’re having your photos taken (check out reason number 5), your guests can drink champagne in a rainforest, or next to an iceberg - now that IS cool! As well as our galleries and Biosphere, you’ll also have the use of the Stratosphere and Ozone - the top floor of Dynamic Earth - with their beautiful outlook and stunning views.

3. Dedicated events team and in-house chef

We have an award-winning in-house chef and catering team, offering you a superior menu that is just right for your special day. Take a look at our wedding packages and bar list for a range of food and drink options for you to choose from. Should you have any menu ideas of your own, our Head Chef will be more than willing to assist you. We’re a fully licensed venue  - yay - and can supply all sorts of drinks for you and your guests to enjoy. And, to tie it all together, our wedding co-ordinator will help you plan your day and, as well as helping you arrange all the reception details, can also help you with flowers, transport, photography, entertainment, cakes, stationery….you name it!

4. Epic location

Situated right at the bottom of the Royal Mile, we’ve got some pretty impressive neighbours. With Salisbury Crags as our backdrop, you can look out over The Palace of Holyrood House and the Scottish Parliament. A real talking point for your guests, Dynamic Earth is situated in Holyrood Park, a truly memorable location for a wedding, with some hidden gems. Which brings us neatly on to reason number 5

5. Wedding photos

Having your wedding at Dynamic Earth allows your photographer to get some truly stunning shots. Show off your brand new wedding rings by pressing your hands into our iceberg. Document your first kisses with a rainforest behind you. Gather all your guests on our impressive amphitheatre stairs with Salisbury Crags behind you. Out and about in Holyrood Park you’ll find some beautiful ancient doorways, just perfect for the couple shoot. Don’t just take our word for it, check out Edinburgh wedding photographer Phil Dickson’s guide to photos at Dynamic Earth here.
