We have a very exciting event coming to Dynamic Earth, and we’d love to see you there!
The Scottish Geodiversity Forum has been working on a fantastic project to highlight our country’s incredible and fascinating geological heritage - Scotland’s first ever Geoheritage Festival! The event is running nationwide from 1-31 October but we’re delighted to be taking part in Scotland’s Geology Open Day on 14th October.
This is a free event and will officially launch the ’51 Best Places to See Scotland’s Geology’ project, which has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. We’ll be exploring our most famous geological sites and introducing you to some secret ones that you may not have heard of!
Over thousands of years, Scotland has travelled across the globe to Antarctica, gathering evidence of huge deserts, volcanic eruptions and even dinosaurs! We can learn so much from the landscapes that surround us, which is why we want to inspire you to get outside and explore!
2017 is Visit Scotland’s Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology, so what better to celebrate this than with lots of exciting, interactive activities and displays to remind us all how wonderful Scotland’s landscapes are.
There’s plenty of events taking place throughout the country, but we’d love to see you at Dynamic Earth from 10am-4pm to celebrate the exciting environments that we live in.
