Our 2021/22 School Learning Programme is now live and we're looking forward to welcoming to back safely to Dynamic Earth for a world of incredible experiences with our Learning team. From our extensive curriculum linked workshops programme, to our galleries and our new 6K Planetarium; there's something for you and your pupils to enjoy and discover together at Dynamic Earth this school year. We also have a range of interdisciplinary resources to support school and home-based learning through Dynamic Earth Online.
PRICES & TIMINGS:
Subsidised education rates are available to all UK School Groups (discounts are also accessible to International schools via our group booking rates).
Choose from a combination of activities to create your own bespoke visit:
Galleries (90 minutes)
Workshop (60 minutes - indoor / 1-2 hours or half day session outdoor)
Planetarium (30 minutes)
1 Activity: £5.00 per pupil
2 Activities: £6.75 per pupil
3 Activities: £7.50 per pupil
Outdoor Workshops: £2-5/per pupil (Primary) or £3-8/per pupil (Secondary)
We require teacher to pupil ratios as outlined below:
- Early Years - 1 adult per 5 pupils
- Primary School - 1 adult per 10 pupils
- Secondary School - 1 adult per 15 pupils
Teachers falling within these ratios are complimentary. If your local authority ratio differs from that described above please advise on booking. All carers and support workers are complimentary.
LEARNING PROGRAMME 2021-2022:
We offer a wide range of curriculum linked workshops across all school ages. There are over 35 to choose from covering a range of topics including; space, dinosaurs, volcanoes, earthquakes, climate change, natural disasters and many more. TEACHER FAMILIARISATION PASS
If you are unsure whether a visit is for you and your pupils, all UK based teachers are entitled to a free familiarisation pass for Dynamic Earth. This is a great opportunity for you to experience first-hand the learning potential a visit offers. It is also a chance to familiarise yourself with the centre and how a school visit would work. Our Learning Team are always happy to meet to discuss potential visits just let us know when you plan to come and we will be happy to show you around. We also offer Audio Guides to help you navigate your way through the Dynamic Earth attraction. These are available in English, plus German, French, Italian, Spanish. Please ask at our Ticket Desk if you require one or pre-book if required for a group.
At Dynamic Earth we have a convenient drop off and pick up point situated in the amphitheater at the front of the building. All coaches bringing groups to Dynamic Earth are welcome to use this area. Dynamic Earth does not have coach parking bays available as we must maintain access to the front of the building at all times for the use of emergency vehicles.
What happens when your coach arrives?
- Drop children off.
- You will be met by a Visitor Services guide who can provide details on local coach parking nearby.
- Your coach driver will be advised on your earliest pick up time.
