It’s not just about the pupils, we also offer the opportunity for teachers to develop or refresh their own knowledge of skills. We often run partnership events supporting the delivery of a wide variety of STEM subjects in innovative ways as well as our CLPL workshops.
After a very successful event earlier this year we are teaming up with Scotdec again for a series of CLPL workshops exploring Sustainable Development Goal #14: Life below water.
Blue Planet has stirred public consciousness about plastic waste. In this workshop we will explore how can we respond and take action on this issue? Together we will think about the role young people in Scotland can play in taking action, sharing innovative solutions that other young people around the world are championing.
Workshops will take place in North Berwick, Falkirk and Edinburgh. See here for full details and booking.
Our CLPL workshops can be delivered in-house at Dynamic Earth or as an outreach session in your schools. Our experienced Learning Team holds a wealth of experience and are always happy to tailor content to particular aims if possible. If you are interested in any of our CLPL offerings, please get in touch for more details, prices and availability.
Creative Science: Explore the importance of creativity within the sciences.
Calling all Edinburgh based primary teachers! Join us for an upcoming CLPL session on Science and creativity and take away loads of fab ideas to use back in the classroom.
Discover the benefits of taking your pupils outside and how you can use your outdoor environment to enthuse them about science. This interactive session will look at the context for outdoor learning, provide practical advice on how to lead groups outdoors including planning and risk assessments and demonstrate a range of activity ideas for delivering science learning outside.
Supports cross curricular CfE early, first and second level experiences and outcomes
Outdoor Learning in Practice
All of our outdoor workshops are available as CLPL options. We can run them for groups of teachers to demonstrate best practice outdoors and showcase activities. Alternatively, if you are looking to increase your confidence in taking your class outside participating in one with your pupils is a great way to be able to see how they respond to learning outside in a supported manner.
