Join our ambitious little worker bee on her adventure to become a nectar collector. Learn about honeybees, explore a hive, waggle a dance and dive into the world of mini-beasts hidden in plain sight - right under our noses! You just have to know where to look! During this storytelling workshop children will explore the different homes and habitats of common British mini-beasts, whilst learning some interesting and sometimes gruesome facts. Arriving at Nectar Bay, their senses will be overwhelmed with all the sights and smells a little bee might enjoy!
Planet Earth - Biodiversity and interdependence: I can talk about science stories to develop my understanding of science and the world around me.
People, place and environment: By exploring a natural environment different from my own, I can discover how the physical features influence the variety of living things.
Listening and Talking - Enjoyment and choice: I enjoy exploring events and characters in stories and other texts, sharing my thoughts in different ways.
Tools for listening and talking: As I listen and talk in different situations, I am learning to take turns and am developing my awareness of when to talk and when to listen.
