Pupils will work in groups to investigate volcanoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, tornadoes and meteorites using a variety of models, props and animations. They will use their knowledge to consider how aspects such as building design and education can minimise the impact of these hazards and so prevent them becoming natural disasters.
People, place and environment: I can describe the physical processes of a natural disaster and discuss its impact on people and the landscape.
