Where are the Polar Regions? What are they like and how are the animals that live there adapted to their environment? In this workshop we will investigate the differences between the Arctic and the Antarctic; spot some camouflaged Polar animals and end with a game looking at the various adaptions which these animals have to help them survive.
Planet Earth: Biodiversity and Interdependence
I can distinguish between living and non-living things. I can sort living things into groups and explain my decisions.
I can explore examples of food chains and show an appreciation of how animals and plants depend on each other for food.
People, place and environment:
By exploring climate zones around the world, I can compare and describe how climate affects living
By exploring a natural environment different from my own, I can discover how the physical features influence the variety of living things.
