APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR 2020!
Thank you to all the groups who have applied, we will be in contact in due course to notify you of the outcome.
What is it?
Every year Dynamic Earth invites charities and community groups from across Scotland to apply for our Community Discovery Pass. The Community Discovery Pass entitles these organisations to free access to Dynamic Earth for a year and was formerly known as the Golden Ticket scheme. We support children & adults from a variety of backgrounds and enable them to access to our centre when they may not normally be able to, for lots of different reasons.
This is part of our wider Community Learning Programme, which aims to make Dynamic Earth a place for all, so that everyone can access the fun experiences and learning opportunities we offer.
Who can apply for a Community Discovery Pass?
There are a limited number of Community Discovery Passes so there will be organisations who miss out. We know that each and every community would benefit from free and easy access to Dynamic Earth but we are limited by our resources.
Organisations are selected on the basis of their support for communities who:
- Live in areas of Multiple Deprivation
- Live with a Disability
- Live in Rural areas
- Are disengaged with science
Please note, this pass is not applicable for schools as we have a separate Golden Ticket scheme for learning visits during the academic year. Applications for this will re-open in June 2020.
Applications are now closed for 2020 - thank you to those who applied.
What happens next?
If you’re successful we’ll be in touch with you directly to let you know. We will issue you with a welcome pack and certificate, and meet with you to discuss how we can support you before you start planning your trips!
