Join the Dynamic Earth team for a family-friendly walk in Holyrood Park exploring Edinburgh's volcanic past.
Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood Park is well known for being an extinct volcano, but where are the clues that tell us this is true? This short walk will take you to some key points under the shadow of Arthur’s Seat, taking you back 350 million years to a time of fire, ash and lava!
This walk is part of the ‘A Land of Fire and Ice’ series of family walks with the Dynamic Earth Learning Team. Families are welcome to attend the whole series, but the session also works as a standalone event. The whole family is welcome, but we advise that you may find it unsuitable for small children under 5.
