What's On Calendar

October Half Term: Destination Space
October Half Term: Destination Space Daily from Saturday, 16 October 2021 until Sunday, 24 October 2021 10:00 AM

Explore the universe through explosive demos, fun interactive activities, and hands-on crafts.

Celebrate the upcoming launch of the James Webb Space telescope and discover how scientists will look into the farthest reaches of our universe using infrared light invisible to us. Get up close to a life-sized mirror that the telescope will use to gather this light and get involved with some exciting experiments using infrared to discover how this amazing telescope can see through clouds of space dust to see the births and deaths of super-massive stars.

Discover how Webb will be launched by folding up its mirrors, create and send a good luck postcard for the telescope’s launch, and even design and launch your very own rocket!

All activities are drop-in from 10am-4pm and free with admission to Dynamic Earth
